Shalini F Wickremesooriya was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of Birmingham, UK and her Doctoral degree from the University of Sheffield, UK.

Shalini is an independent practitioner certified by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, UK and licensed by the Sri Lanka Medical Council. She is a provider of the Listening Program, a research based program developed by Applied Behavior Technologies, USA.She is a stuttering specialist who works closely with the Stuttering Foundation, USA.

Shalini has experience working in different countries in clinical, home, specialised camp and school settings. She liaises with professionals across the globe by engaging in research, speaking at international conferences, contributing to research journals, reviewing journal articles and publishing.
